Vietnamese rice export prices were unchanged in the week ended Tuesday despite a strong global demand, as local farmers began harvesting more, leading to a rise in supplies.

Traders based in the Mekong delta region, where most of Vietnam's rice for export is grown, predicted prices will drop in July, when farmers will intensify their harvesting over about 1 million hectares of paddy rice.

Traders were quoting high-quality 5% broken rice at $950 PMT Tuesday, unchanged from last week. They didn't offer 25% broken grade.
