India's central government has allowed export of 5,000 MT of non-basmati rice, 1,000 MT of pulses and 1,750 MT of edible oils as a one-time waiver of the ongoing export ban to neighboring Bhutan.

India had earlier banned the export of non-basmati rice, pulses and edible oils recently to check spiraling local prices and high inflation rates.
