Chicago Board of Trade rice futures Wednesday closed limit up, 50 cents higher, on concerns about the cyclone that devastated Myanmar over the weekend.

July rice closed up 50 cents at $21.60 per cwt, and September and November rice both closed up 50 cents at $19.60. Nearby May rice, which is trading without limits because it is in delivery, was up 73 cents to $21.55.
