Indicative rice export prices in Thailand rose sharply Wednesday from Friday amid strong demand, as an expected fresh demand from the Philippines boosted prices.

Thai 100% grade B was indicated Wednesday at $1,000 PMT, FOB, 5% broken at $980 PMT, FOB and parboiled at $1,000 PMT, FOB. These prices are higher by up to $100 from price indications a week ago.
