Chicago Board of Trade rice futures ended firmer Wednesday after hitting record highs on bullish momentum and concerns about world supplies, traders said.

May rice settled up 38 cents at $22.55 per cwt after hitting a new high of $22.85. July rice finished 38 1/2 cents higher at $22.87 1/2 after soaring to a record high of $23.20.
