Chicago Board of Trade rice futures closed firmer Wednesday on spillover support from neighboring markets after rebounding from early weakness.

May rice finished 22 cents higher at $20.70 per hundredweight. July rice settled 18 1/2 cents higher at $20.98 1/2.
