CBOT Rice Review: Nearby Contracts Backpedal After Run Up

Chicago Board of Trade rice futures closed sharply lower Tuesday as the market retreated from an early run to record highs.

May rice settled down 52 cents at $20.48 per cwt after scoring a new high of $21.60. The nearby contract briefly fell the expanded daily limit of 75 cents and traded in a wide range of $1.35.
