Chicago Board of Trade rice futures Monday climbed the exchange-imposed 50-cent limit on technical strength and bullish momentum.

May rice closed limit up, or 50 cents higher, at $18.53 1/2 per cwt. November rice closed 50 cents higher at $17.20.
