Rice export prices in Thailand surged to higher levels in the week to Monday largely due to the surging local prices of paddy amid tight supplies and a stronger baht. 

Thai 100% grade B was indicated Monday at $570-$580 PMT, FOB, 5% broken at $560-$565 PMT, FOB and parboiled at $620 PMT, FOB. These prices are higher by around $70 from price indications given a week earlier.
