According to the recent figures released by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the net sales of rice during the period from Feb. 15-21, 2008, stood at 53,300 MT much improved from the previous week, but 38% below the prior 4-week average.

Exports of rice from the United States during the above period was at 79,000 MT, which was 20% below the previous week and 5% under the prior 4-week average.
