After bids by international suppliers for the first tender announced this year by the Iraqi Grain Board, Thailand sold 60,000 MT of rice to Iraq last week at $450 PMT, FOB.

According to Rice Exporters Association of Thailand, Thailand may sell more rice to Iraq in 2008, as its prices are more competitive than those of the U.S., a major supplier to Iraq.
