Thailand rice export prices continued their ongoing high trend in the week to Monday, buoyed by tight supplies and helped by a stronger Thai baht.

Some exporters have also delayed shipments until March, when new crop supplies will enter the market and relieve upward pressure on prices.

Thai 100% grade B rice was at $460-$465 PMT, FOB Monday, up $10 from prices quoted a week ago, while 5% broken was around $455 PMT, FOB and parboiled 100% sortexed around $470 PMT, FOB.
