According to Philippines National Food Authority, the Philippines is planning to to buy up to 550,000 MT of rice in a new tender scheduled to be held on March 11.

The NFA plans to buy 450,000 MT of 25% broken rice, 50,000 MT of 15% broken rice and another 50,000 MT of 5% broken rice for shipment between March and April this year.

The Philippines has so far bought 876,701 MT of rice, mostly from Vietnam.
