Thailand Rice Export Prices Higher Monday

Thailand rice export prices rose around 5% in the week to Monday due to the ongoing fresh demand from the Philippines amid tight supplies in the local market.


The Philippines' National Food Authority has bought 154,000 MT of 25% broken rice from Thailand for shipment between February and April.


Monday, Thai 100% grade B was offered at $420-$430 PMT, FOB, 5% broken at $410-$420 PMT, FOB and parboiled 100% sortexed was around $440 PMT, FOB. These prices are higher by around $20-$30 from prices offered a week ago.
