Thailand Rice Export Prices Higher On Stronger Currency

Thailand rice export prices were higher in the week to Monday, lifted by a stronger Thai baht and also supported by the ongoing surging demand of rice varieties.

Monday, Thai 100% grade B was offered higher at $380-$383 PMT, FOB, 5% broken at $370-$374 PMT, FOB while parboiled 100% sortexed was offered at $393-$398 PMT, FOB. These prices are higher by $3-$5 PMT, FOB than prices offered a week ago.
