Bangladesh's Food and Disaster Management Ministry has decided to indefinitely suspend its tender to import 50,000 MT of non-basmati parboiled rice after an India bidder complained of irregularities.

The tender which was isued late last month was suspended after complaints from the Indian firm Uni Corp who claimed that they were not allowed to submit relevant papers to participate in the tender and barred from participation.
