Chicago Board of Trade rice futures finished with small losses Monday due to heavy spread trading as the absence of any fresh fundamental news pressed the market lower.

November rice settled 6 1/2 cents lower at $11.58 1/2 per hundredweight and January declined 5 cents to $11.95.
