The average export price of Vietnamese rice has gone up to US$293 PMT which is a rise of almsot $42 compared with last year.

According to Vietnam Food Association, Truong Thanh Phong, the bid for 15,000 MT of rice to the Philippines last month was $313 while Thai rice of the same kind was $305 PMT.

Vietnam, the world’s second largest rice exporter, earned $1.15 billion from exporting 5.1 million MT of rice last year.
