Chicago Board of Trade rice futures finished lower Wednesday amid light speculative selling, unable to draw any support from the sharp gains in wheat futures.

September rice settled 11 cents lower to $10.92 per hundredweight, November fell 10 1/2 cents to 11.18 1/2 and January finished down 9 cents at $11.48.
