By-products were uneven in the south and steady in California.
In the south, long grain rice prices were steady, quoted mostly at 19.00-19.50; medium grain prices were steady, quoted mostly at 22.00-25.00; parboiled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly from 20.00-23.50; second heads were steady; brewers were steady. Rice by-products: Offers for rice bran were unevenly 10.00 higher to 5.00 lower, with tight spot supplies (Arkansas bran mostly 95.00-100.00); millfeed was steady to 2.00 lower; hulls with limited sales were steady to 2.00 higher. In California, medium grain milled rice prices were steady, quoted mostly from 25.00-26.00; short grain prices were steady; second heads were steady quoted mostly from 17.00-17.50; brewers were steady, quoted mostly at 16.00. Rice bran was steady; rice hulls were steady, quoted mostly at 15.00. |
