Indonesia's dry unhusked rice output in the first planting season ended in mid-July 2007 increased substantially to reach 5.5 million MT.

The dry unhusked rice output accounts for almost 55 percent of the country's production target of 10.04 million MT for 2007.

Experts feel that the ongoing dry season is likely to have a small effect on the province`s rice production in the 2007 planting season but overall the annual production target of 10.04 million tons for 2007 would be achieved.
