Chicago Board of Trade rice futures ended moderately higher Tuesday with trading active on the close after a slow start.

Sep rice rallied 15 1/2 cents to $10.42 per hundredweight, Nov rose 14 1/2 cents to 10.76 1/2 and Jan gained 14 cents at $11.10.
