Chicago Board of Trade rice futures ended lower Friday in modest trade as the market was unable to overcome early fund selling.

July rice futures went off the board 12 cents lower at $10.13 per hundredweight, September declined 6 cents to $10.44 1/2 and November fell 4 cents to 10.77.
