Chicago Board of Trade rice futures ended lower Wednesday, but up from earlier levels as light commercial related buying helped trim the declines.

July rice edged 1 cent lower to $10.14 per hundredweight, Sept. declined 5 cents to $10.37 and Nov. also slipped 5 cents to $10.67.
