Chicago Board of Trade rice futures ended mixed in very
light activity Thursday as the market was unable to discover a feature.  May rice settled 2 cents higher at $10.25 per hundredweight and November fell 4 cents to $11.16.

Activity was light with several traders absent, beginning their holiday early
a floor broker said. The CBOT grain markets are closed Friday in observance of
Good Friday.

Export sales were better-than-expected but were ignored by the pit.
