CBOT Rice Review: Modestly Lower On Light Spec Selling

Chicago Board of Trade rice futures ended modestly lower Tuesday and at session lows as light speculative selling and the negative influence of the other grains weighed on prices.

May rice fell 5 cents to $10.17 per hundredweight and November also declined 5 cents to $11.16.

Local buying thought to be position squaring helped limit the declines, but the absence of commercial and fundamental interests left prices trading within a narrow trading range for much of the session.
