The Strategic Plan For the Rice Development of Argentina has been presented. This plan tries the sustainability of rice farming during next 5 to 10 years.

Between the contemplated strategies are the following:
- To increase internal rice consumption and to obtain that the domestic consumption that at the moment is of 6 kilos per person and year as average to reach 9 to 10 kilos.

- To leave the dependency of Brazilian market and to look for new markets.

- Possibility of refunding the rice exports a 5% with the objective to diminish the price in the domestic market and try control inflation.
