Has arrived at the port of Caldera (Costa Rica) a boat with a shipment of 38,000 MT of rice imported by the National Rice Corporation (Conarroz) to cover the demand of the country.

The domestic harvest collected between April and May accounts 3.000 MT and is probable that the govern will authorizes new importation.

Every year, Costa Rica imports rice depending on the operation of the domestic harvest. Previously 18,000 MT have been imported monthly.
