Chicago Board of Trade rice futures ended higher Tuesday on what traders deemed a friendly acreage report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

July rice ended up 28 1/2 cents to $12.23 per cwt, its high for the day. September rice ended higher in an outside day on the charts, up 23 cents to $12.34.
