Thai Rice Prices Lower As Traders Anticipate Govt Stock Sale

Thai rice prices were lower in the week to Monday, as traders expect the government to sell old rice stocks soon.

Monday, Thai 100% B grade rice was offered at $320-$323 PMT free on-board lower than $327-330 PMT last Monday. Thai 5% broken rice was at $314-$317 PMT, FOB Bangkok, compared to $318-$320 PMT last Monday.

Thai parboiled 100% sortexed was offered at $326 PMT, FOB Bangkok, compared to $327-$330 PMT a week ago.
