In Thailand, export demand for rice continues to be thin, said traders, as
most exporters are waiting to see the effect of supply on prices over the next
few weeks, before making any purchase decisions.
The baht has been rising since early 2006, making Thai rice exports more
expensive in U.S. dollar terms.
Thai 100% grade B was offered Friday at $329 PMT, FOB Bangkok, while 5% broken was at $324-$326 PMT. Both prices were unchanged since Monday.
