CBOT Rice Review: Ends Mixed; Commercials, Funds Absent

Chicago Board of Trade rice futures ended mixed Tuesday in very light trading, unable to move higher or lower as commercial and fund interests were absent the market.

May rice settled 1 cent higher to $10.36 cents per hundredweight and November fell 1 cent to $11.24.

Trading was slow compared with recent sessions, with commercials and the speculative funds absent the market, the floor broker said. Activity was dominated by local participants and small speculators,
