China To Hold Rice Auctions On Feb 28, Mar 1

Central China's Anhui province will hold a rice auction on Feb 28 and a wheat auction on March 1 in the capital city of Hefei.

According to an announcement from the National Grain and Oil Trade Center tomorrow, 200,000 MT of late rough rice purchased by the government in 2005, and 200,000 MT of early rough rice purchased in 2006 will be put up for bid.

Rice auctions will also be conducted in Jiangxi, Hubei and Hunan and wheat auction will also be conducted in Hebei, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Hubei provinces.
