The Experts of the Latin American Found for Rice Irrigation (FLAR) have proposed to modernize rice production of Panama with the objective to increase yields.
Technicians of FLAR together with representatives of the Rice Federation of the Republic of Panama were visiting some rice zones of the country between February 16 and 20.
According to information’s, technicians of the country could increase the productivity of the cereal until 200 cwt by hectare incorporating new applied technologies. According to official data, the present rice production of Panama is considered in about 100 cwt by hectare.
