Indonesia Plans To Import Rice From Pakistan

The Indonesian government is planning to expand its rice imports from Pakistan and China to meet the target of importing 500,000 MT of rice in the second phase.

Trade Minister Marie E Pangestu said there are chances that Indonesia exports rice from Pakistan and China besides Thailand and Vietnam.

On the quality of rice from Pakistan and China, Mari said there would be no problem as the government was authorised to set the percentage of broken rice.
