Philippines to buy 125,000 MT rice from Vietnam

The Philippines sought a total of 125,000 MT of rice on Wednesday from suppliers who won contracts at a tender last month.

The same price and shipping terms would apply as agreed last month. Three Vietnamese firms agreed to sell a total of 87,955 MT rice at $308.95 PMT including cost and freight.

The other suppliers from Thailand and Pakistan were given until Thursday to confirm whether they would fill the rest of the import requirement.
