Flooding in Indonesia will deplete national rice stocks
by as much as 370,000 MT this month, Agriculture Minister Anton Apriyantono said Wednesday.
The decline in stocks is due to lower output, as around 130,000 hectares
planted to rice paddy has been damaged by floodwaters.
The floods have also caused rice prices to rise in some areas, Apriyantono
said without further elaboration.
