As it was published in the Web site Caribbean Net News, Surinam and the European Commission (EC) signed three agreements to increase rice industry in Surinam.

With this signature it is tried to recover the rice farming in Surinam that was surpassed by the banana farming.

With the founds destined to the recovery of the cereal, financial facilities, investigation, qualification of personnel, and the completion of the irrigation system will be prepared.
