The acquisition of “Minute Rice”, valued in about 219.8 million euros (280 million USD), will suppose the incorporation to the Group Ebro Puleva, second rice dealer in Canada and fifth in United States where the company already operates with Riviana.
The definitive closing of this transaction is expected for the fourth trimester of 2006. This purchase extends the plans of the company for 2006-2009 and a significant advance in the process of development of Ebro, directed to the increase of its presence in the world-wide market.
The Spanish company Ebro Puleva is world-wide leader in rice sector.
