In an attempt to promote agriculture in the country, Ghana's government has decided to assist rice producers by providing medium term credit for buying all kind of processing equipments.

The government plans to provide support services, technical and financial support to small-scale rice producers, processors and traders to enhance rice production in the country. Ghana has targeted to cultivate 4,500 hectares of rice across the country to increase rice production and ensure production of quality rice.
