Prices of Thai exportable rice were steady Monday with offers much of last week, as buyers still considered offers by Thai exporters too high.
The local trade feels that Thailand's rice prices aren't very attractive, especially when compared with its main competitor, Vietnam. Monday, Thai 100% B grade was offered steady from last week, around $299-$300 PMT fob. Trading wasn't very active, as people had just returned from a long holiday for the Songkran festival last week. Thai 25% broken rice was unchanged at $265 PMT fob.
