Sri Lanka Govt. To Begin Purchasing Program

Sri Lanka's Minister for Agricultural Development and Agrarian Services Development Maithripala Sirisena has said that the government is going to launch a purchasing program via the Paddy Marketing Board to purchase the paddy and the storage facilities are already being prepared for storing.

Sri Lanka government is planning to purchase about 140,000 MT of paddy from the farmers during the Maha season.
