Cameroon Urges Farmers To Use Hybrid Rice Seeds

The Cameroon government is urging farmers in the country's Far North Province to obtain high-yielding hybrid rice seedlings and open new farms.

According to government's statistics, Cameroon's annual rice production is around 70,000-75,000 MT. The country imports 400,000-375,000 MT a year from China, India, Pakistan and other key rice producers.
