Vietnam Prices Unchanged At High Levels Wednesday

By Oryza News on May 23,2007

In Vietnam, prices were unchanged at high levels Wednesday on strong domestic demand. Despite robust demand from exporters, availability of local supply has recently improved as high domestic prices have encouraged farmers to unload stocks.

Export prices, however, are likely to remain steady at high levels as outstanding contracts mostly involve huge quantities. Vietnam's 5% broken was offered at $302 PMT, FOB, Ho Chi Minh City, while 25% broken was offered at $287 PMT. These prices are unchanged from Friday.
