Panama Rice Farmers Announce New Increases In Prices

Rice farmers of the Chiriquí region, in Panama, have assured that due to the high production costs of the cereal prices, they will have to raise prices that offer to the millers up to $17 by QM, in comparison of the $14 by QM that were requested until now.

This situation will take to a new ascent in the prices to the consumer, who could arrive until a 29%, according to producers calculations.
