Vietnam Rice Export Prices Firm Friday On Strong Demand

In Vietnam, most buyers were also absent Friday. Export prices, however, remained firm on strong demand in the local market as suppliers are still busy gathering supply to fulfill outstanding contracts. These contracts mostly involve huge quantities of rice, which could keep prices steady in the coming weeks despite limited inquiries.
 
Vietnam's 5% broken was offered steady Friday at $297-$300 PMT, FOB, Ho Chi Minh City, while 25% broken was offered at $285 PMT.
