Strong Local Prices Support Vietnam Rice Prices Friday

In Vietnam, prices were unchanged Friday, supported by strong prices on the local market even with the ongoing harvest of the main crop. Fresh supply from the main crop is mostly for shipments to fulfill
outstanding contracts.
 
Vietnam's autumn-summer crop will be harvested around June/July. Vietnam's 5% broken was offered steady Friday at $300 PMT, FOB, Ho Chi Minh City, while 25% broken was offered at $280-$285 PMT, FOB, Ho Chi Minh City.
