Physical rice export prices in Thailand rose Wednesday from last week due to the surging demand for Thai grain in the absence of other major supplies in the region.

Amid all the rising demand for Thai rice for export, domestic supply continues to dwindle, as farmers are yet to harvest the bulk of a major crop.

Thai 100% grade B was offered Wednesday at $370 PMT, FOB and 5% broken at $359 PMT, FOB, while parboiled 100% sortexed was offered at $385 PMT, FOB. These prices are higher by $10 from prices offered Friday.
