In Thailand, the market was on post-holiday lull following Labor Day celebrations. Despite the absence of many buyers from the market, steady demand from regular buyers like China and Iran kept prices from falling.

Exporters said only buyers from Iran are currently making inquiries in the market, specifically for the 100% grade B variety. Prices are likely to remain at current levels due to support from existing buyers in the market.  Thai 100% grade B was offered unchanged at $323-$324 PMT, FOB, Bangkok; 5% broken was offered steady at $312-$315 PMT; parboiled 100% sortexed was offered flat at $320-$322 PMT.
