By Oryza News on April 20,2007

In Thailand, the strong baht also prevented exporters from offering price discounts. With prices at lofty levels, buyers could be waiting for softer prices before making any deals. Export supply from Vietnam is very uncertain at this point. Exporters believe it's only a matter of time before buyers come back to Thailand.

Thai 100% grade B was offered steady Friday at $320-$324 PMT, FOB, Bangkok; 5% broken was offered unchanged at $316-$318 PMT; parboiled 100% sortexed was offered steady at $320-$322 PMT.
